Gone For The Weekend - The De Lata Express!

De Lata is the best baon ever! We checked-in at Canoe not knowing that they would charge us 150 per cooking service. Our first experience from them is not that quite amusing. We paid 150 just for them to cook the tuna and corned beef for us. Tuna taste good but the corned beef - yak! Kulang sa asin. **deep sigh**

So, Nonie, John and I decided to bring our de lata's to the resort jus
t behind Canoe. Capones Beach Resort is the name. Manned by 2 amazing women. We didn't get to ask for their names but their service and their cuentos really made our day. For 3 days of stay they just charged us 300+. We gave them everything we have. Even my crab paste.

Canoe and Capones are rival resorts. Capones Resort was the first resort built in the place but when Canoe Resort came in, that has started a lot of conflict between the two resorts. Canoe was built in beach-front leaving Capones Resort out of place. It even slowed down their business because of:
  1. They put a gate at Canoe and whoever checks in at Capones will be charged 50 pesos first before passing through the resort and to the beach front. TINDI!Dadaan ka lang eh may bayad na?!?! What is ENTRANCE FEE?
  2. Canoe is much more developed than Capones. They have swimming pool for kids and adults. Their rooms are well...ok.
  3. Sinolo nila ang beach-front!
I am sorry but I have to complain...bawal magmaasim ang Canoe - Fan room na nga lang ang kinuha namin di pa sila nag-spray! So many mosquitos inside! Anyway so much for my "about to rant" mode. We were so blessed to have met these amazing women..did i said "amazing" twice already!make that thrice!
Our dinner with them is always an experience. They even have this dog named Maxi. He's old but can still guard their resort especially at night.

It was fun talking to these wonderful (oh ayan di na amazing!) women. Though their at their senior citizen years, they still have that laughs and can still crack a joke that really had us laughing the whole night.

Here's a photo of us on our last breakfast with them courtesy of John:

We will certainly miss them. They have been good to us. Thank You, Inays!
