Gone For The Weekend - The Search For The Lighthouse

One thing that we noticed is that Philippines is not really like one of those countries who has state of the art lighthouses. Here, they're just part of history, some were abandoned, some were still operational but with no lights *wink wink* and some some.

The Lighthouse in Capones is one good example. Kuya Randy - our bangkero for 2 days, thought of dropping us on the other side of the island. But there's trouble, the waves on that side of the island were strong, its gonna be hard for us to ride after. He mentioned that there's still another way of going to the Lighthouse, thing is we'll have to trek. Yipiiii! Keribels!

And so the trek began. 15-20min of trekking is not tha
t easy though especially when you're stepping at rocks, get wet by the waves, having almost tripped most of the time and etc. I have to say sorry to my tripod - ginawa ko shang tungkod sa sobrang pagod ko.

Here's a photo on our way to the Lighthouse

You'll see more of this here.

A couple of minutes after and we saw a track that would lead us all the way up to the Lighthouse. Again, sorry velbon - but you've been handy!

Here's what we saw:

Now, isn't she beautiful or what?! I mean c'mon, I know it's like a hundred years old or whatever but the heck - waterless trek is just all worth it!

The base may be old and abandoned but Kuya Randy said that they are trying to renovate the lighthouse to add more attraction and so on and so forth. I took some pictures inside before going up and again you will find these in my album collection.

OK going back - Nonie, RJ and I went inside and something caught our attention.

Talk about Global Warming and all that, right?

Of course papahuli ba ko...? Shempre hindi so this is me naman:
